It holds us back from stepping towards our purpose and potential and feeling joy from our accomplishments. In this incredible interview, Emee reveals how to quiet our inner critic, how to take action even when we are afraid, and what we can do to remedy Imposter Syndrome.
What I loved About This Interview
Oh my gosh, I loved this interview so much! Emee’s incredible knowledge with her background in Psychology and expertise in Imposter Syndrome was both illuminating and life-changing. There were several points during this interview where I thought…dang it… I am totally busted because I am guilty of doing that!
I loved the concrete strategies that Emee gave to face fear, quiet our inner critic and step towards what we know we need to do. I think my favorite part was when she shared her own incredible story about when she went through a difficult time after her son was born and her battle to find her new identity as a woman and a mom. I am so grateful for her vulnerability, expertise & wisdom.

These are questions that I asked Emee outside our interview. You are going to love her answers!
What is 1 thing you believe every woman entrepreneur should know?
We CAN manage our thoughts. When we know how to control our thoughts, we can manage our behavior and how we respond to the world around us.
When is a time in your life when you went through a challenge or felt like giving up? How did you overcome this? What did you learn from it?
Returning to work after maternity leave was very difficult. I overcame this when I realized that I had to pull myself together because my son deserves a mother who is alive and well. From this experience, I learned that I was not immune to mental health difficulties and that it’s OK to ask for help sometimes.
What is the one area of life or business you are an expert in?
I’m a chartered psychologist – I am an expert in helping others manage imposter syndrome, embrace their true worth, and flourish with confidence at work and life. I am also an expert in self-publishing. After launching 3 of my books to #1 best-seller status, I now teach other entrepreneurs, coaches, and visionaries how to write and publish their books on Amazon.
What is one thing you want to share about this that will make all the difference for women?
Give your inner critic a bit of TLC (note: TLC doesn’t mean tender loving care in this context. You’ll have to listen to the interview to learn about what it means).
What is one thing that you wish someone told you that you had to learn the hard way?
Your life will never be the same as soon as you have a child.
Please tell me about your family. What is one of the biggest challenges you have faced with balancing work, family, and taking care of yourself?
Adjusting to my new identity as a mother. One minute, it’s just me. The next minute, I have someone who depends on me. It changes everything.
What did you learn from this challenge?
Change happens all the time. It’s important to adjust and adapt to change.
What helps you balance these roles now?
I quit my job and I’m now only doing things that bring me joy and freedom to spend more time with my family.
What is one resource that you love (a book, app, service)?
Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich
If you have written books or have a blog, what are the titles and where can I find them?
Emee’s books are available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes
- Book 1: Change Your Life for Good
- Book 2: Imposter Syndrome Remedy
- Book 3: Fear is Not my Enemy
If you have written a book, would you recommend self-publishing or traditional publishing & why?
I’ve gone down both routes. I enjoy self-publishing more. Gives me more control and autonomy over my books. I enjoy it so much, I also now support aspiring authors to write and publish their own books. You can check out my course at https://selfpublishingmadesimple.thinkific.com
