Description of the Gateway Assessment:

Wylene Benson, Master Breakthrough Coach and Author of the new book “The Seven Gateways – Your Map to Integrity in Life and Business” has generously offered up one hour of her time for your personal Gateway Assessment.  The Seven Gateways are a proven map that highlights the pitfalls and the shortcuts to a path of purpose and fulfillment.  In this Assessment you will discover which Gateway you are stuck on (Faith, Abundance, Charity, Prosperity, Obedience, Humility, or Equity).  You may be are having difficulty believing in your own worth (Gateway of Faith) or your right to access the abundant resources all around you (Gateway of Abundance). Or maybe you are good to go in those areas but you believe you have to do it all yourself (Gateway of Charity). There is a counterfeit way of living in each gateway. And if you get stuck on one, the rest that follow will only show you the counterfeit.  The Gateway Assessment will help you see the truth within each Gateway, and give you the power to move forward with new positive perspective.

Bonus Wisdom

These are questions that I asked Wylene outside our interview. You are going to love her answers!

What is 1 thing you believe every woman entrepreneur should know?

You have access to inspiration of the surest path to success for you as a uniquely gifted individual.

When is a time in your life when you went through a challenge or felt like giving up?

My journey of discovering my authentic gifts and purpose started with a heart attack. The doctor had told me my heart would never get beyond 40% of its function. I was an avid hiker and very physically active prior to that diagnosis. I could have easily settled for a mediocre sedentary life after that, but I chose to challenge it.

How did you overcome this?

My first step was to hire a mentor to help me change my mindset to positive expectation. I intensified my connection with God and focused on faith in what I had control over which was my words, my attitude and my belief that I had a greater purpose that was critical for me to fulfill.

What did you learn from it?

Most of us are more powerful and have a greater reason for living than we can imagine. If we allow God to take us by the hand, and do all in our power to become that powerful being that we are destined to become, the whole earth will be better for it.

What is the one area of life or business you are an expert in?

I am an expert at seeing and drawing out the strengths in people. I am gifted at recognizing and reflecting back their core purpose, mission and calling in life. In a one hour conversation, I can give them a strong foundation of purpose to start from, or a confirmation of the current path they are on. I am able to easily see incongruence between the choices they make and what would serve them best, based on their individual talents.

What is one thing you want to share about this that will make all the difference for women?

Stop living your life for others. Begin seeing yourself as invaluable to the evolution of the human race. You are THAT important! To think that living your purpose is selfish is a counterfeit belief. It serves no one to deplete yourself. God created this world to multiply and replenish itself. You are one of His creations. There is a way to serve that increases you at the same time.

What is one thing that you wish someone told you that you had to learn the hard way?

There is a perfect place for you to express yourself fully and beautifully. You can do this NOW! You don’t have to wait for someday.  Your dreams and desires are glimpses of what is possible. God doesn’t give us inspired thoughts and then not provide a way for it to be accomplished.

Please tell me about your family.

My Husband, Clint and I have three grown daughters (30, 26, and 22). Our 30-year-old is married to a great guy who had 3-foot long dreadlocks when we met him.  We are a family of artists, each of us expressing ourselves in different ways. We even turned our living room into an art room because it had the best lighting. Clint and I have been married for 33 years and live in the same house we purchased two weeks before we were married. We love our backyard that has gorgeous mountain views with tons of trees. We have 3 cats with totally unique personalities, just like the humans they have adopted. If you come to visit, you will be expected to stay for dinner, or at the very least find a snack for yourself in the kitchen.

What is one of the biggest challenges you have faced with balancing work, family, and taking care of yourself?

My biggest challenge used to be that I thought I had to do everything for everyone all the time. I thought it was my job to make sure everyone and everything was under control. I was the boss, the leader, the mom, the MVP, and the cheerleader.

What did you learn from this challenge?

I learned that there is only enough time to be me. And I learned that I can trust others to be them. That is the biggest thing I learned, is to trust God and to trust others.

What helps you balance these roles now?

Trust…trusting God that He has His eye on me and those I love. Trusting me that I will discern and be given everything I need before it is needed. And trusting others that they know themselves and their needs better than I do.

What is one resource that you love (a book, app, service)

My favorite resource is available to almost everyone: I call it my Daily GPS – Gratitude Prayer and Scripture. I start each day with a Gratitude Call at 7 am with a group of committed individuals who want to live at the highest possible energetic state. Every night, I empty my heart, giving it over to God, and allow my heart to fill back up with inspired action the next day. Every day I allow myself to be energetically led to the perfect scripture that supports my day.
